South African Bedding Size and Fit Guide

A familiar size name is a useful starting point, but the final fit depends on the actual measurements of your mattress, bedding and pillows. Use this checklist to compare OHS bed-linen listings with the items you already own.

Measure before you shop

  1. Measure the mattress width and length in centimetres.
  2. Measure mattress depth from the top sleeping surface to the base, including any topper that will stay on the bed.
  3. Check the centimetre dimensions on the exact OHS product listing.
  4. Confirm pack contents and care instructions before ordering.

Choosing a fitted sheet

Match the sheet width and length to the mattress, then check that the stated pocket or fitted depth can accommodate the mattress and any topper. A size label alone does not confirm depth.

Choosing a flat sheet

Allow enough fabric for the side drop and any tuck you prefer. Because naming and dimensions can vary by range, compare the product's exact centimetre measurements with your measured bed rather than using a universal size chart.

Matching a duvet inner and duvet cover

Compare the stated width and length of both pieces. Products carrying the same size name can differ between ranges, so exact measurements are the safer compatibility check. For more help, read How to Choose a Duvet Inner.

Pillowcases and sets

Measure the pillow itself and confirm the case dimensions. For sheet or duvet sets, read the listing's pack contents so you know which sheets, covers or pillowcases are included.
